Her eggs are stained . . is this a disease???

Here are a few pics of her eggs. some have white patches on them some have red patches. I eat these eggs and my mom's getting all paranoid that i'll get some chicken disease

Is this normal, is it because of some deficiency??

Mine are just starting to lay so I am not as experienced as some. I would be eating them also without any worry.
Isn't it amazing how conditioned we are to uniformity? Mass production has accustomed us to expect the same size and same bleached color. I am ashamed to say I suffered from it too. I had a problem with using a duck egg the first time making breakfast for my neighbor.

You know how the eggs have that wet bloom on them as they are laid? That first egg looks as though it stayed in the same position as it dried and the end that dried slowly is darker. Each of my hens, in addition, produces a different egg- texture , color and speckles vary. Sometimes I get one with calcium grit, too. Just be sure you're providing enough oyster shell in addition to layer feed, especially if giving treats, because some of the hens gobble the treats and need some calcium with it. I often sprinkle ground oyster shell in with a treat, like inside a pumpkin or squash as they hollow it, or in some wild bird seed that I offer in the evening when bringing them in!

I had a duck that layed the grungiest looking eggs. Nothing wrong with her or the eggs, her bloom was just yuck! LOL

Those eggs look fine to me and your chickens are adorable

Those eggs are fine, the color is just uneven pigment. Only the prettiest and most uniform make it into egg cartons at the store, and that's why we never see them until we have chickens of our own. Eat them and be happy!

One of our chickens laid an egg yesterday with purple speckles on it. It's actually really pretty. I couldn't figure it out, you can scrape them off with your fingernail. Then we remembered the chickens have been eating ink berries. They always have purple stained beaks. I think your eggs look just fine.

This sort of thing can be very common as a hen approaches the end of a laying cycle. And some hens just don't lay pretty looking eggs though the internal quality may be OK.
