Her first egg squat!

YAY! My freeloader BO that I have had for 8 months (she looked like she was about 5 months old when I got her) finally did her first egg squat for me today! I now have hope that she will in time lay her first egg! All the others have been laying for months. Weird that it took her so long to mature but she finally got a big red comb and today....she squatted for me! Those little things that make a crazy chicken lady's life good. LOL

Mine started doing that then getting a bit of a white poopy butt. Then they got really chatty and cackly and began to lay eggs. It was exciting.

I accidentally ended up with a rooster in the last batch of chicks I had, all of my girls now only squat for him. It's kind of a weird/sad feeling when you get replaced in the pecking order, eh?
