My 5 weeks on friday Buff Orpington chicks were out for day in coop at back of hoose. Popped out to weed bed near them and neighbouring farmer was spraying with slight breeze blowing straight to our garden. Came round corner and could taste it. Said about it to Hubbie who was doing DIY and he said yes he was stopping work because of it. Screamed about chicks and why hadn't he alerted me..?! But that's a lost cause so brought them into house. They were scratching and rolling in box. Checked with farmer as was Galgon (sic) for killing docks. Rang vet and they said to wash them. Sponged them all with cotton wool and water as scared to saturate them. Changed bedding and cleaned out water and food.
They won't be going out for a day or two. Is hot here so they'll struggle but would like a good rain to rinse it away
Any tips gratefully received
