herbs in the nest boxes??

Ive seen a few articles on adding various herbs to nest boxes. Does anyone here do this? Or have any thoughts about it?

I am trying to decide if it is something I may want to do in a few months when my girls are laying. I grow a nice sized garden every year and always have various herbs and would just add others, but wanted to get some thoughts from you guys first!
