Lovemychickens...here they are...In another thread, I didn't want to take over so I started a new one, I said that I had been told they were all roos. Lovemychickens asked to see a picture of them all as I made the statement that mine had varying amouts of dark in their patterns. One is lightest, one a bit darker, and then the darkest.
I just noticed myself that the feathers on the neck of #2 chicken above are different. Here is another photo I took a July 17th of two of the chickens together...the darker one and one of the lighter ones.
Yes, even though the one looks a bit different and darker than the other two, it's feathering is still too light to think female. Males always looke like there's some black patterning on the white. Females look like there's some white feathering on among the black. Your #2's body patterning kind of looks more female, but the whiter (and odd looking by the way...lol) neck/hackle feathers look very male.
