Moving back to PA has been such a blessing. I can have chickens once again! (it's been 7 years in NH. I could not have chickens there.
So these are Lavender Orpingtons. There are no chicks around and the hatcheries are sold out.
So I drove to Winchester VA to pick up some hemp bedding. No one else has them near here. And Surprise!! They had Lavenders!! So I stayed small. Purchased three of them. And placed them in a brooder that I made from a kids raised garden bed that i purchased at Walmart. What do you think?
Oh, that's my pomeranian Robin. She was so curious that she jumped on my back. I have to keep a close eye on that one.
