Decided to join because I just started my first flock and anytime I googled anything regarding chickens, the answer was always found on this forum. I built a coop and currently have 6 chickens. Four of them are still too young to go outside in the coop but I have 2 that are 8 weeks old and they stay outside. Here is what I have. 2 Black Australorps, 2 Silver Laced Wyandottes, 1 Americauna and 1 Easter egger. Fingers crossed that they are all hens but Im not sure. Glad to be here and look forward to learning more about these awesome birds

Hi and welcome to BYC - great to have you onboard.

You'll find lots of info in the Learning Centre (even you are an experienced hand) https://www.backyardchickens.com/atype/1/Learning_Center, and if you have a specific topic in mind, just type it in the search box as there's a wealth of information on past and present threads.

You may wish to consider joining your state thread as it will put you in touch with other BYC members in your area - just type the name of your state in the search box.

All the best
CT

Thanks for the welcome and I did post a pic of my EE that Im unsure about. Hopefully someone can tell me if I have a Roo on my hands. Wouldnt mind having a rooster but its not allowed where I live.
