@DobieLover - I do plan to breed them to have more females to lay eggs. I know there is usually a loss of a few chickens so the idea behind the males is to have some extra.

12 x Rhode Island Reds
12 x Plymouth Rock
2 x males 1 x each.

I would keep the two extra males separate (in the future) or they may overwork the girls when they mature. But if you are planning on breeding them, two roosters of each breed seems like a good idea.
