Hi all,
My name is Lauren and I live in Western Colorado. I started my first flock this spring, after years of wanting chickens, and every time I have a question Google always brings up BYC as a result; so I figured this was the place to be! I'm entirely generic, so I copied the "get to know you questions". Enjoy!
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? I had chickens as a teenager, but February 26, 2018 was the hatch-date for my very own flock.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? 26! I tend to go overboard with everything I do.
(3) What breeds do you have? 1 Buff Orpington Rooster; 3 Buff Orpingtons; 4 Black Stars; 7 Red Stars; 3 Silver Laced Wyandottes; 6 Amerecaunas; 2 Golden Laced Polish, just for fun
(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com? The almighty Google.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? Baking, gardening, farming and traveling.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. I am a SAHM right now. I am a Labor and Delivery nurse by education and training (work as such for 10 years before staying home prior to the birth of my third child). I've been married for 15, have 3 kids, 3 cows, 4 fainting goats, 2 cats and 1 Boston Terrier.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community? Google. Maybe 4 years? Figured it was a good place to get advice.

BYC is a helpful site providing all the information you need to know about poultry! You have a lot of chickens! Hope you enjoy it here as much as we all do!
