O.K. I'm a sucker for chickens.. after leaving all my girls in Colorado (with my best friend ..who is a crazy chicken lady like me
) We moved to Washington. I went to the feed store and got 8 chicks..got home DH said "you only got 8 ? "and grinned..so the next day I went back to the feed store and got 6 more.. 14 is a nice #...that was 12 weeks ago..the girls are doing great..well 1 turned to be a rooster but he is cute so he can stay. They love the new coop DH worked so hard on to make it match with all the other buildings around it. Today DH comes home from work and said.."oh a guy at work has a bunch of 12 week old chickens he wants to give away..his kids raised them for 4H and they have way to many..how many do you want"??? NOW what kind of question is that! how many do I want..how many do they have?
6 more would make an even #..20 is a nice size flock..don't you think??? ..... FOR NOW
