First things first!! A great big humongous, ginormous, huge thank you goes out to Jean Ribbeck (Pips&Peeps) for supplying six of the most beautiful Ameraucana eggs I've ever seen! I had the distinct pleasure of getting to meet Jean this weekend when I drove out to pick up eggs from her.

Jean! Love your set up woman!! Better keep that beautiful Silver roo of yours under lock and key girl!! I think I'm in LOVE!!

What a beautiful little man!

Folks, if you're in the market for TRUE Ameraucana eggs, talk to Jean! What an impressive operation she has going there. And I thought I kept my coop clean!!

OMG!! You could eat off the floor of her baby room! I'm not kidding! When I arrived I caught her right in the middle of scrubbing the floors with disinfectant! Just a first class job all the way around!

I can hardly wait to see what pops out of these eggs!! Thanks again Jean!

So, with 6 beautiful, precious, Blue and Black Ameraucana eggs going into the incubator on 4-28 @10:00 AM PDT, who's with me??? It's my last hatch of the year, and the most anticipated. Come hatch with me and help me keep my fingernails intact!!!

Again Jean, I can't thank you enough!

I just put some of my Silkie/Showgirl eggs and some Red Sussex eggs in the incubator yesterday. I hope the Sussex eggs are ok. They are a little old now. I got them from a swap and was waiting for some lavender orphingtons that were coming also from a swap. The lavenders arrived and all but three were crushed in the box. I was a little disappointed too but I put what I had left in the incubator. We'll see what happens. I'm not sure but I think another of the lavenders might have been cracked so I'm watching it closely.

Oh Cindy!! I'm so sorry that your lavenders were crushed! What a shame! And what a waste of beautiful eggs.

Were they adequately packaged? Have you contacted the person you made the swap with? Maybe she/he can send you some replacements?

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you that the remaining lavenders are viable.

You'll probably know for sure in another week when you candle, as to what made it and what didn't. Oh such a shame! I always feel so bad when I hear about eggs that didn't make it through the postal system for any reason. Good luck and keep me posted on how they do!
