*update* we have a pip!!!!!!!! Yayyyyyyyy! Little brahma egg has started first. ....im hoping by the time I come home there will be a baby! !

It could take a good few hours before they complete the hatch. Patience...

One of my chicks out of my last batch took 26 hours too hatch from pip! it's a very long time to wait (normal is between 10-18hours) but the chick was totally fine keep us updated

That long! Owww! As long as the chick is ok, the beak is popping out and the membrane has gone from white to a yellowy colour...is that normal?

Its fine I'm sure it's just because the air is coming in so it's making all the blood veins and yolk absorb....and the membrane will start to dry there...don't open the incubator or it can make it worse and shrink wrap. My last chick took over 12 hrs after external pip. It's hard to be patient, but they know when to hatch! if it takes more than 24 hrs, then you may have to help....but hoping you won't.

Ok thank you shes been like this since about 8am this morning......its now 6pm. I canhear her chirping away! Hope shes ok.....no sign of the others yet "/
