Here is a question regarding comb colors and roosters vs pullets.

Are all rooster combs pink or red? Or is it different from breed to breed? I have some seven week olds outside and haven't noticed red or pink combs forming. My golden sex link is yellow comb and my Moran, Dominique and barred rock are all dark blackish. Thanks

The combs in males will start to pink up and become larger compared to pullets, and by 7-8 weeks it should be noticeable. Some breeds are a little harder - Silkies can be very difficult to sex.
