Here is a easy solution to add water to any incubator. I am using the WASH BOTTLE with drinking straw to fill the water to my Brinsea 20 Eco. There is no need to open the incubator. You can use along with the drinking straw, aquarium tube. I have my sponge or sock underneath the vent hole. To get them wet, it is simply squeeze the bottle. Those with large DYI incubator you can run the flexible aquarium tube to out side. It also may be best to use little warm water (85-100F). Have fun...
