The color spots on their combs are very interesting. I have never seen that before.

My son worked with some guys that immigrated here in the past 3 years or so Seem to be good fellows and when they got talking about my chickens they didn't understand why I built a "house" for them and a fence. They also couldn't understand why I haven't ate them yet. I told them I eat the eggs. But still they wondered why I didn't eat the chickens. They thought that was funny. After some inquiring on why it was so oddly funny to them all it came down to was where they come from chickens like these pictured run wild. If you want something to eat you go catch a chicken. If you need an egg you find their nest.

I got the last laugh because I asked them where they got their eggs.
