As mentioned in another thread about the best chicken to keep for eggs, personality, and in a small space, her is our daughter's Salmon Faverolle. She is so tame that she goes on rides with us around the block on my daughter's handlebars of her tricycle. I finally got a picture scanned to show. Our Isa Brown, Barred Rock and Buff Orp are also friendly, but would never do this. So who are your friendly girls?

I have several who qualify as ultra-friendly, but Olivia, one of the PoufyHead Sisters takes the cake. She wants to be picked up several times a day. If you ignore her, she grabs your pants, occasionally taking some skin with them, LOL. She just marches up to you and stands facing your legs. Here is my sweet Livvie, being held by my DH. Livvie is the daughter of helmstead's deceased Cochin/Silkie roo and one of her Barred Rock hens and along with her lookalike sisters, Kate and Tux, were in the first batch of chickens I ever hatched myself. Excuse the dirt in Olivia's pouf-she'd been dustbathing.

This is Daisy, she didn't become so friendly until about a week ago. Now she jumps on my arm every time I go out for a visit. I think she is going to lay her first egg any day now.

that first pic is so great. I want a chicken to ride with me on my bike too! Wait, I guess that is only for kids, but really how great would that be?

Oh Keleka, those photos of your daughter with her SF on the handlebars are just precious. Cute dog too.
I love Livvie! What a cute chicken she is!
