once your chicks are hatched, let them dry in the incubator until they are somewhat fluffy. take them out and then stick their beaks in water two times so they know how to drink. put a waterer in the pen/box.

the next day, put food in the pen.

make sure that they have a heater in the pen the moment you stick them in it.

they are going to be pecking at each other's beaks but that is normal. don't worry. then they will grow and grow (as you should know...)

Add some glass rocks to give them something shiny to peck at. It can help to keep them from pecking at each other and shows them where to peck for the food and water.
Never heard that!

Instead I stuck my hand in the brooder and let them peck the snot out of my engagement ring…
