It is a Bobcat, and running for the .22 can be a way of life when you have a farm to run. The farm help ran and grabbed the rifle while he and the cat stared each other down

I was panicky when I went in to check and see which of my girls he got. My Yokohamas... untouched..... Barnevelders....untouched..... Silkies.... untouched whew. Pet chooks that I hatched out myself and were basically hand fed from birth, completely free range.... slaughtered.

Beautiful pelt. If you don't want it you might check and see if it is legal for a local taxidermist to purchase it. Too nice to feed the crows.
