What does that mean?

It means that she was bred from hatchery birds. While her parents may not have been from a hatchery, at some point in time, her lineage is from a hatchery. Hatcheries breed for production purposes. The almighty dollar. So, breeding towards a standard is not their main goal.

She has better coloration than other hatcheries DEFINITELY, but her tail comes to a "point" which indicates production quality. She will be a GREAT layer for you and an AWESOME pet!

Brahmas that are bred for exhibition are GINORMOUS. They have a different stance than birds bred from a hatchery. That's all I meant by it.

Thanks again. She IS a friendly chicken. I actually didn't plan on getting her that day I picked up my other chicks from the feed store, but the sales lady there talked me into and I'm so glad she did. I love the Brahma!

Those still come to that "point" but there's a DQ on all of them. The vulture hocks. Shame too...but I don't believe they're a DQ (disqualification) in the UK.
