Here we go again French Marans hatching eggs arriving Saturday

Whitish specks are from all the toliet paper lining the egg carton the eggs were shipped in then wrapped then in bubble wrap on top and bottom

so tomorrow in evening in incubation no egg turning till day 3. Don't know what else I could do

Kinda light, course it is late in the season, but nice speckles.

That’s what I was thinking that they were kind of light colored for BCM but a lot of people are breeding for SOP instead of egg color. I wonder how old the hens are as the eggs seem to lighten up as they get older. Mine are a little over a year old I have one that lays a lighter colored egg.

They can lighten as the season progresses, every year.
