here we go again-RAIN!!!!

Just when it looked like it was going to be summer here in New England, it's raining again. I am going crazy, my children are BOOOORED!!!! How about you?

It's driving me nuts!!! No children to entertain, but my chickens are SOAKED!! It rained all day yesterday and the winds were so rough it actually collapsed one of my runs (made from a dog kennel). I need to feed and water everyone before I go to work, but not in this weather! And the goats are hiding in my shed and making a complete mess in the meantime, despite the fact that they have 2 nice carports to get under.

ETA: However, the ducks and geese are running around like it's heaven on earth!

It's been between 105-110 here - with thunderstorms at night. trade ya!!!!

I would not want to trade with you, but maybe we can compromise, I can give you some coolness, and you can give me some heat. Then maybe we can have a comfortable 80 degrees, with rain once or twice a week. That way we wouldn't have to water anything. Sounds to good to be true huh? Maybe that's what heaven is like!

I'd take either the heat or the rain...but we have both!! It's around 100 during the day here with that horrible oppressive humidity, then it rains and cools off to about 85, but it's right back up there hot and humid when the rain stops. Yuck!

Yup...going nuts here also... We are NOT going to get a summer this year! Wahhhh

We got a New England winter w/ lots of snow and now we've had a NE summer with long periods of hot/dry weather. Heck, we even had thunderstorms, which are very rare here!!

The thunderstorms in Mass are one of my fav childhood memories. My brother and I spent the summer we were 12 (me) 10 (him) with my grandparents. They had a screened in front porch, where my brother slept. During one storm, he sat out there with his camera and tried to snap pics of the lightening. Of course, it was impossible. I'm sure that he got a full roll of pics of grey screen when the roll was developed!
