Heritage Breed Producing Good Number Of White Eggs

I am designing an experiment to investigate pasture management schemes on egg production of free-range laying hens. Hope is to promote situation where pasture will provide a greater percentage of nutritional intake and promote desirable changes in nutritional and physical characteristics of the eggs typically associated with free-range poultry. Owing interest in heritage breeds we have chosen dominiques and buckeyes but would also like to try a breed that a good producer of white eggs. Any suggestions?

Your best bet for white egg laying heritage breeds would be a pretty short list in my opinion.

I would personally say choose Buff, Black or White Minorcas, White or Brown Leghorns or White Faced Black Spanish. They will be the breeds that lay more white eggs than most other varieties. There are other varieties that lay white eggs but much smaller eggs than these breeds.

There's also Andalusians, I have no experience with them yet but have heard they are good layers. Pretty too!

I have found Crèvecoeurs to be excellent summer white egg layers, it takes them a little longer to get started though. Eggs are matte white and decent sized, eggshell is sometimes on the thin side.

Like games that lay proportionally larger eggs. Now will be fun of finding brown leghorns actually breed to lay rather than just for show.
