Heritage Breed Producing Good Number Of White Eggs

If you want hatchery Brown Leghorns then I wouldnt say that its a Heritage Breed. If you wanted to get some Light Brown or Dark Brown Rose Comb or Single Comb Brown Leghorns then they would be heritage. There are strains of them out there and they are still Leghorns and are still going to lay pretty well.

There are also heritage strains of White Leghorns out there also that lay well.

I agree also on Brown leghorn if your interested in heritage type then check out the article in the Aug./Sept. volume of Backyard Poultry article on Passing the Baton: Breeders connect to carry on Heritage Flocks. They are Dark Brown leghorns great white egg layers and to me equally as beautiful as their Lt. brown counter parts. Might be a good place for you to start gathering up info, hope this helps.
