Heritage Sweetgrass Bronze X hatch-a-long!

Hey! This is my hatch-a-long for my Sweetgrass Bronze turkey eggs! We were planning on breeding just Heritage Sweetgrasses but a bobcat got in the door and killed my sweet hens. Now we are breeding Sweetgrass and Bronze! I have never seen this mix before so we are excited to try it out! Right now our Bronze hen, Dolly Pardon, is sitting on 14 eggs and they are all fertile and about 2 1/2 weeks along. I will be posting every few days. Thank for checking it out!

I'm not going to be hatching anything new right now, but I wish you luck with hatching out some of your poult's. It will be interesting to see how the little poult's turn out.

I'm still searching for Heritage poults, our lonely Bourbon Red hen needs a boyfriend. A permanent Boyfriend. She paired with a BB Bronze last year, & became depressed for awhile after we butchered him.

Day 15 today, my 5 babies are still going strong. 3 BBS Ameraucana X BBS Orpingtons (with a chance for pure BBS Ameraucanas), and 2 purebred Lavender/black-split Ameraucanas.

Update: Mom and eggs are good, none broken. She got off the nest today and drank like 5 gallons of water and food, pooped a giant, stinky poop, and stretched her wings a bit. I didn't get a chance to candle but I think I will tomorrow.
