I had relocation problems with a game breed this year. They are very broody, but don't like to be relocated. They refused about 50% of the time. It's not natural for a bird to accept a relocation after it has settled on a nest and you can't do this with other forms of poultry (I think that is correct). I tried to stay alert and look for patterns/conditions that could help improve the success rate, but found none. I had a girl hang out in the nest box for 4 months, after refusing two relocations. I did not mind, because she was sweet and did not cause any problems. I have thought about using stackable cubes for nest boxes, that way when I get a broody I can move the nest with her in it. I guess that would work. Something else to build!! Good luck with your broodies. That's what I do, too. My luck in having the hens stay in the new location is pretty spotty. I've even tried restraining them with a laundry basket or milk crate for 12 or 24 hours after the move and they still won't sit. Sometimes they even go back to their original choice of a nest when I finally give up on them. Guess I need broodier hens! I've certainly had successes, but not consistent enough for the hatching I'd like to do.
