He's going to be Lonely Now what do I do?

I'm so sorry yours didn't go better, I just feel like kicking my own butt cause I took the eggs she was sitting on EE's , all fertile and all growing and gave her these eggs. I just hate wasting money! LOL I could have at least had an Omelette had I just known and got something out of it, An EXPENSIVE omelet but at least it would have been something! LOL
Thanks. It's just how things go with shipped eggs sometimes. :)

No butt kicking! Your eggs would have hatched later and she'd still have a lonely chick for a few days. I liked ClareScifi's story of her only-child rooster. It's not easy raising a lone chick unless you're able to be around them a lot.

Oh I know I'm just being a whinner. LOL Unfortunetly I don't even got a single good egg to show for it (Unless a miracle happens and the 8 I gave her back decides to develope). I doubt it but stranger things have happened!) I knew the shipping risk when I ordered them, so I just got to suck it up And try again with the eggs I got coming soon from another breeder,I have ordered eggs from them before but its been several years ago , all the eggs were fertile but It was my first time hatching with an incubator and my hatch went horribly wrong with temp and moisture and all but 2 died in the shells or couldn't get out of the shells at hatch and died, and I had to peel the two I got out of their shells( they were shrink wrapped in) and saved them. I don't blame the seller of the eggs, she said she hatched eggs out from the same pen my eggs came from and I have no reason to disbelieve her so......Maybe Her Hens were giving her Rooster the cold shoulder before she shipped the eggs, Who knows what happened!? LOL I will just Try Try Again! LOL
