With as many as 250 new members added to our super awesome community every day, we decided to add a section just for new member introductions!

So, for all you new members (or old members that never introduced yourselves) please take a quick moment to tell us a bit about yourselves and your flock!

Go here and look for this button:

You may want to "subscribe" to the new topic / thread after you post so you can receive email notifications when someone replies to your introduction.

Here is a sample template you can copy and paste into your post to help the introduction juices flow:

(1) Are you new to chickens (somewhat) / when did you first get chickens? (A couple months)

(2) How many chickens do you have right now? ( 6 + 3 or so )

(3) What breeds do you have? (Rhode island reds and other mixed)

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? (Eggs, plus they make cool noises and are mostly very sweet)

(5) What are some of your other hobbies? (Garden, sewing, cooking, church)

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. (Married and semi retired)

(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community? :D (been reading here for awhile off and on. Just decided to jump in the conversation!)

Nice to be here, been appreciating the good conversations!
