Hi, I live in southern Indiana, and currently have 20 total chickens. My fiancee and I bought 12 Amberlink pullets last spring, and this year earlier gave 6 to my parents. We then bought 8 more chicks because I want variety! I blame this on the BYC Facebook page. Well our 8 turned into 7, which went to 10, back to 7, and then up to 14. Yes my honey was ready to strangle me. We are trying to finish out our coop run so they all have guaranteed safety. In the mean time my littles are growing faster and faster! I have a favorite, Snowball, he/she is my bantam mix that I picked out almost positive it was a Silkie, and it is! Still waiting to find out gender, hoping for a rooster.
My flock also grew quickly over time. I began with eight. turned into ten, then thirteen, then twelve, then sixteen, then eighteen. I don't really know how it happened. I just opened up the chicken door one day and eighteen chickens came out and i thought, "Wow, how did this happen?" lol. Have fun here!
