I love this site. So much information!!!! I love chickens ! never thought I would ...i really do enjoy them. Thinking of getting ducks but live in the adobe area with no water Thanks for all your great post !

from Alabama. Glad you joined us. Totally agree with you - BYC is the best! Btw, most ducks are perfectly happy with just enough water to bathe in (like with kiddie pools). We have a large pond, but even our ducks enthusiastically find a small puddle to splash around in after a rainstorm

remember, ducks don't need to swim to be happy or lay fertile eggs. Just regular water, but in an open container, will suit them! Khakis may be good for you. Smaller, and can maybe take the warmth better.
