Just wanted to say hi and introduce myself. My family just got our first chicks this spring and it's been very interesting so far! I wasn't sure which breeds to go with,so I settled on 3 Orps, 3 Wyandottes, and 2 Barred Rocks. They're crazy little ladies and very entertaining. We live in Maine and are hoping for good egg production this fall. (And for a way easier winter than the the last two!)
I look forward to picking the brains of you salty dogs and hearing what folks have to say. I'm sure I'll have a ton of questions! Take care all!

Thanks everyone! This is our first foray into the poultry world. My husband just got out of the military, so having chickens is finally an option! I'm excited to see how it goes. I'm glad I found BYC. It's already been a huge help!
