I have been invited to take over as administrator and content creator for "FM Urban Chickens" on FaceBook and would like to invite anybody, not just North Dakotans, to come and show your support for backyard chickens. The page was created to raise awareness of the benefits of raising urban chickens and to help change the laws in Moorhead, MN and West Fargo, ND, where the laws are against us, as well as helping people understand the current requirements to keep chickens in Fargo, ND. There seems to be plenty of confusion among people in the area, and any information or support you have to offer would be greatly appreciated!

I am in Fargo. I have 2 hens- New Hampshire and Sebright Golden.

Anyone have any trouble raising chickens in Fargo? Fargo Zoning sent out a letter stating we were out of compliance with our zone.
To my knowledge, it has been legal in Fargo to have hens for quite a while.

Looking forward to hearing from other keepers.

Yes, as far as I know, you can have hens in Fargo, not Moorhead or West Fargo. My sister lives in Fargo and has 3 hens. Are you on Facebook? I'm part of a group on there, and I know several people in the group have chickens in town. Maybe you could ask there? I can send you the link...

I just come across this forum and have been looking for quail eggs what do you sell them for and do you ship them not sure how far you are from me? I just moved to Watford City.

I live in Dickinson, my quail are in Glen Ullin.
Watford City does not allow quail in city limits

but if you are out of town we can work out something.
My girls are done laying until spring, quail do not lay well in the winter.
They are just living the life of luxury right now lol

Zhinka, I am finding that there are a lot of things not allowed in city limits of WATFORD City but I live outside city limits. When weather warms up and your quails start laying eggs will you let me know I know have awhile before that day comes.
