I have two flocks of chickens. My hens are three years old – four Rhode Island Reds and a Sapphire Gem. Also, have six Blue Australorps. They are three months old – three hens and three roosters. I live in North Georgia and enjoy hanging out with my chickens. I enjoy watching my chickens interact. Trying to integrate them right now and RIRs are rude and bossy. The Sapphire Gem gets along with the new flock just fine.

We also have two cats that are not crazy about the chickens. One of the cats is scared of the chickens. That’s probably a good thing.

I’ve found great info on this site and finally decided to join. I know I'll learn a lot and maybe help others with the things I've learned over the last three years.
