hey! i've knoww this site for a while now but i never made an account. looking forward to all the information i can find on here and share mine!
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
i've always had chickens, since i was a kid. as a kid i had a single chicken, when she died we had another chicken, and when she died (around covid) i was old enough to realise that you can't keep chickens alone. then i got my silkies!
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
right now i have 4 chickens. it started out as 2, i thought they were 2 hens but they turned out a hen, Caramel, and a rooster, Saruman... they are so close, 2 peas in a pod! i was allowed to let my Caramel brood 2 eggs, but i suppose i don't have good luck with the 50-50 chance, since they were also 2 roosters... Piep (Pipsqueek) and Tokkie (Gandalf).
(3) What breeds do you have?
white silkies!
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
cuddling them!!
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
i love all animals, like my cats too! i like playing piano, art (making it & museums!), music, ... i like to be creative!
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
i have a cat, Boy! he has a cow pattern and long fur, i love him to death. my sister has a black cat with no teeth! and my brother has an ataxia foster cat that we'll adopt!
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
i know BYC from looking up stuff online!
