The male is very tame and will eat out of your hand. He has never tries to fly- I think he may be to fat?? The female is crazy and we found out she can run and FLY very fast!!

Great pic everyone!!

The runners are hilarious! Do they lay pretty good? Like to play in the water like my Pekins?

I would like to get a couple more females for eggs but I don't want to get birds that will fly off.

We have to many to post pics of everybody. Here are a few group pics.

Duckpondsr.jpg

One group of larger sized "water ducks"- rouens, pekins, cayugas, swedish, etc.

muscovygroupsr.jpg

One group of Muscovies- with the cold weather they have formed 2 groups- this group hangs out by the geese, the other group hangs out with the chickens. After counting- I really need to sell & butcher some Muscovies, over 80 right now.

Your probably looking for pics of domestic ducks- but I just like this photo- so wanted to post it too:

Sporttees- I like the TN area, have you ever been to Wilson's animal sale at Cookville?

Moving south for me could be a bad thing- in a more temperate zone we could have ALOT more animals. In the north we are regulated by only having so much space in the heated barns. We are in the process of building a new monkey barn right now.
