Here's my brief intro-
I've done a ton of reading, and a few questions remained unanswered so I decided it was time to register and jump right into the bird coop.
I'm in a suburban/urban mixed environment, so my focus right now is quail. Maybe one day when I get the acreage I've always wanted, I'll get the chance to branch out.
(1) Are you new to quail / when did you first get quail?
Very new.. No birds yet.. just in the planning phase so I've decided to register and post some questions that my research hasn't answered.
(2) How many quail do you have right now?
None
(3) What breeds do you have?
None
(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
Most of my research has brought me back to BYC.. and from what I've read so far, the most accurate and thorough sources of info are on this forum.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Urban Self-sustainability / Urban Farming
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
Nothing too interesting.. big family, very loving, animal people, but no farming or breeding/husbandry experience so I'm a bit of a trailblazer.
