Hey everyone!

I am new to having a backyard flock! So new that my chicks haven't arrived yet *hopefully next week*! I am busy reading and learning everything I can before they get here! We are starting off with 5 (a potluck batch of brown egg layers).

I have 3 kids (18, 15, 12) who think I have lost my mind and a husband who has been extremely supportive (until I was ready to buy 15 chicks ).

My dad hatched and kept chickens for many years and recommended that I join the conversation! I look forward to picking your brains and sharing my experience!
