I am new here although I've looked at the forum a lot. I'm a teenager and I've raised chickens for 3 years all by myself. Right now I have 11 australorps hens and one rooster. Those are our egg layers. But my babies are my bantums. I have one rooster, 2 hens and 4 chicks right now. I love chickens!

Welcome to BYC! Black Australorps are my favorite standard breed chicken. I love them because they are very hardy, gentle and calm, and great layers of large, brown eggs. Good luck with your flock.

My hens are half old english game, the other half is a mix of bantum breeds. My rooster is half austrolorpe and bantum. He is very sweet and dotes on his hen, always feeds her first.
