Hey all from Northwest Georgia. I'm originally from Dahlonega GA. My family has commercially raised chickens for Fieldale Farms and many are employed at their Processing Plant. I was an Animal Welfare Officer for Fieldale for a while myself. This is my first time raising chickens of my own. We have 5 hens and 1 rooster. Not really sure what breed they are yet. We also have 2 Pekin ducklings. I personally prefer the chickens lol.

Greeting from Kansas, coreym11787, and :welcome! Great to have you in our community. I'm in agreement with you - chickens are easier than ducks.
Should you want to chat with some local poultry folks, find the GA thread in the link below and say howdy: https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/270925/find-your-states-thread

Welcome to BYC. You can post photos of your chickens at "what breed or gender is this," and they should be able to ID them for you.
