We just got our first chickens right after Easter in April 2023.

We have four

2 ISA Brown, and 2 Golden Commet

They are so friendly and a blast to watch do their chicken things. We did get our FIRST egg today and that was pretty exciting!

We have 3 boys, ages 13, 11, and 9, they keep us pretty busy! But we love to entertain, and get together with family. go on vacation. LOTS of sports :: Football, baseball, etc. GYMNASTICS
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I've been married for 15 years, and have 3 boys. They have pets beside the chickens, 2 guinea pigs, a bearded dragon and a Dumbo eared rat. :) I used to coach gymnastics but took a job with the school this year so that I can be closer to the kids and more on their schedule.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community? :D
I came across this site on Google when I was researching why my chickens poop is really dark and a bit runny at the moment. Found out it's because of the blueberries they were eating this weekend. :) Happy to be here!

What a great intro Mamma of boys! Busy life for sure. I'm so glad you joined there's a large group of chicken wisdom here. I've learned a ton here.
