Hey y’all! New mama here! My name is Melissa and I’m from the Jersey shore! I just started raising my flock and my girls are 7/8 weeks old. I have soooooo many questions lol. My biggest is thing is trying to identify my two buff Orpingtons and my 3 sapphire gems! I’m sooooo confused and can’t find any identifying factors. I can’t have roosters here and knowing now will save me a lot of heartache. Here are my buffs. I know the combs and wattles are nice and red but what can I look for in terms of feathering??

Male feathering doesn't start coming in until they're around 12 weeks old. Sadly, both of the Orps look like cockerels.
Your Gems will be easy to tell. Males have barred feathers, females are blue. Do you have any pictures of them?
