(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Very new. Just got my own flock early March. Live on a farm with other chickens/animals though.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
12.
(3) What breeds do you have?
2 Rustic Ramblers, 2 ISO Browns, 5 Ameracaunca, one bantam Housman or Brabanter (not sure yet), two bantams we are clueless on the breed but LOVE.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
My kids love them and it’s good responsibility. It’s also very fun and rewarding.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
gardening.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
We are a law enforcement family. My husband works a lot so we stay close to home and raise the birds, dogs, cat. Five kids, 20 down to twin (almost) 5-yr-olds.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
