Hi Lynne7, Bienvenue to BYC. It’s good to have you and your little family with us. Little ? What am I saying woah how do you have time to breathe with all those guys ?
I have 6 hens at the moment, having lost two of my old ladies this year (RIP Ruby, RIP Dylis) but am planning (don’t tell hubby) to get another 4 next year.
Good to have you with us 👋👋👋🥳🥳🥳🤩🤩🤩 (goodness I love these emojis)

Thank you. I'm sorry for your loss. We had ordered 3 chicks from a breeder/hatchery last week and 2 of them died at like 3 days old. We will be getting 3 more most likely on the 13th.
Oh goodness, I’ve never had chicks. All my girls have been point of lay.
Have to say that is excellent Chicken Math
3 - 2 = 1 + 3 = 4 😂

Oh and where are you ? There is a thingy bit on your setting to let people see where you are. People, like me, are terribly nosy you know 👃

Quite a menagerie you have there!

Nice mix of chicken breeds; I have had or currently have all of those. The SLW is a month-old chick, but I've had other Wyandottes and they are lovely birds. The Sussex is by far the friendliest or maybe just the nosiest -- she always wants to be digging wherever I'm trying to work.

Welcome to BYC, Lynne; I believe someone here will be are able to answer any and all of your questions!
