we have 3 silkie hens and 2 silkie roosters


our silliest silkie hen just went broody (name pumpkin) and she popped out a squishy egg

Silkies can definitely be silly!

Do they have access to oyster shell? She may need a little extra calcium.

Even if they are on layer feed, having oyster shell available is a good idea. Silkies can also be susceptible to vitamin deficiencies, so you might want to give them some Poultry Cell every once in awhile and of course a good quality feed is always crucial.

pumpkins egg is a rare but special thing

the easter Eggers do most of the laying
BTW she laid 3 other healthy eggs but the squishy one was just odd
