hey I'm new

Hey I just moved to farm that deals mainly with sheep. There are a few chickens here that are not really dealt with and I figured I'd take them as a hobby. I know nothing about chickens. I hope you guys could help me out with understanding what breed they are, what there supposed to eat, why they don't lay eggs every morning, why it's never in the same place. Well pretty much I'm lost and have no clue what in supposed to do. Thanks so much

Have you gone to the Learning Center? It's a great starting point. Then branch out to forums that suit you needs, like feeding, chicken behaviors and egg laying, etc. If you go to

"where am I, where are you," you will be able to locate and post on your state thread. There may be people living near you that could give more information based on your locale.
