I'll tell y'all a little secret. We put the new puppy's crate next to Jax's about a week ago. Since that time, every night when we put Jax in his crate, we lock him in, tell him goodnight and then pat the top of the other crate and say "goodnight Kane". At first, I did this and DH laughed. Now he's doing it too.
I think we're bringing home the new pup just in time. Jax is starting to have seriously doubts about our sanity, saying goodnight to an empty crate.
