@TroyerGal

The wife checked this morning and she was fine, I just checked again and she was gone

. What I've been doing when the raccoons hurt them or I process them for meat has been preserving the hides, but I buried her out by the tree line intact.
I won't make the same mistakes again.

Oh no.... I'm SO sorry!! thats heartbreaking.

Do you know why she died? Do you still want the dosage for the apple cider vinegar and garlic? in case you need it for future use? im so sorry for your loss.

Thank you. Unfortunately, it happens :-(.

Yes, if you could give me the dosage, I can have it ready for the next time this happens( knock on wood)

Okay, what I do is....

About 1 cup ACV
About 4 cloves of crushed/minced garlic
Optional honey to taste (preferably raw)

Add all the stuff in a mason jar and shake. Give to patient through an oral syringe :)
This is GREAT for people too :D

So Bessie, (my doe) had her litter of kits a couple days ago. While going through and making sure they all seemed to be doing well, I realized that she had 9. Now, I'm no biologist but I'm pretty sure she only has 8 nipples. (?). Should I remove a kit and hand feed it, or should I see how it plays out? They all seem lively and healthy, I just don't want the "runt" to die if I can help it. TIA

Leave it in. Rabbits will feed 2xs a day and the hungriest will work the hardest to get food unless they are too weak. If you need to feed the runt more try force nursing by holding the doe on her back and the kit on her belly with it's face on a teat. I've had rabbits raise litters of 12 without assistance.

Geez, I was under the impression they never had more than 8........ They all seem healthy and lively so I'll let mama do her thing.
