Well, if ever I needed evidence my chickens were ever so slightly odd, today provided it! After the girls and chick went to bed, I cleaned the kitchen floor and put down my new door mat. Ferdy (Ferdinand- splash cockerel) came in for his hour of t.v. and stepped on it quite happily. This morning, no-one would cross it to come into the kitchen. You'd think it had turned into the crocodile infested Zambezi overnight! Normally, I can't keep the little beggers out!
