New to the forums, but have definitely searched and gleaned a lot of great information from this site, so I decided to join the bandwagon. Hubby and I live in VT and are looking forward to learning a lot from everyone on here as we start our own hobby flock.
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Both hubby and I have cared for chickens before (me at work, and him with his parents), but have not had our own backyard flock. We are very excited to get started!
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
Zip, zero, zilch. We are looking to start with some brahmas and are currently searching out local breeders.
(3) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
We love being around animals, watching the antics, and getting to know everyone’s personality.
(4) What are some of your other hobbies?
Gardening, outdoor time, house projects...
