Hey there! 7 months in and currently have a mixed flock of 11 & 6 Cornish X. I had planned on just a couple chickens maybe 1 or 2. I left TSC with 3 chicks all 3 ended up roosters. 6 weeks later I got my Ideal Poultry order in of 7 chicks. For Valentines hubby got me 2 chicks from a wonderful breeder in CT. I had to cull one of my roosters after 3 months of posts trying to rehome him. After that I picked up 6 Cornish x.
We are going on week 2 now of eggs my Ameraucana was my first layer she was almost 6 months old. We have super low temps here. It actually snowed today.
So far I've built 2 coops and runs and spent a total of $24 on them.
