I joined a couple months ago but never got the chance to get on after that 
so my name is Christiana (chris-tee-on-a) but pleasee call me Chrissy, its much easier to spell and pronounce I'm a huge animal lover
So my family has had chickens and ducks for over a year now, and we are still learning things as we go. I have seen some things that i hope none of you ever had to deal with though... One case of prolapsed vent not caught in time led to me witnessing the others pulling out the poor girl's insides.... needless to say those ones are soon to be butchered. We got another few batches of chicks and some of the oldest ones just started laying eggs the other day.
We have 51 birds total, 9 ducks and 42 chickens?? i think that's how that math goes
We have various breeds of chickens and for ducks we have 2 rouens, 3 welsh harlequins, and a crested blue swede, one black swede, and 2 other blue swedes.
Besides our birds we also have 7 dogs, a cat, a rabbit, a guinea pig, a lizard, 6 goats, and 9 heifers (one of which is to be bred during her next heat, Im so excited!)
I would love to meet fellow animal lovers and learn all I can from them as in the future I want to be a livestock veterinarian. Im very outgoing and love to sit and chat your ear off so hit me up!
